We Remember - Fr. John Hurley (1931-2013)

A Lifetime Dedicated to Christ ...

On Tuesday morning, July 30th, 2013 we learned that our beloved Fr. John Hurley died peacefully at St. Benedict's Independent Living Center in Niles. He touched many lives during his lifetime and he will be deeply missed.

Fr. John Hurley came to St. Edna in 1983 and served as our pastor for almost 20 years until he retired in 2002. Along with his dear friend Fr. Eugene Faucher, he resided at St. Edna during his retirement and as Pastor Emeritus continued his ministry at our parish until October 2012 when he moved to St. Benedict's in Niles.
