Religious Education - 1-5th Grade

The Children’s Religious Ed program is offered for children who are in first through fifth grade.

Program Information

The Children’s Religious Ed program is offered for children who are in first grade through fifth grade on Tuesday evenings. (Virtual for 2020-2021)  Alternative to the school year program, there is a week long intensive summer option for 3rd-5th graders.  Sacramental Prep is a two year process typically beginning in first grade.  The sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated in third grade and First Eucharist is celebrated in second grade.  In addition to grade specific RE classes led by a Catechist, there are scheduled Family RE classes, and seasonal family events.  Our Sunday Visitor “Alive in Christ” series is used.

THANK YOU ADVENTure Stations of the Nativity Volunteers!

The first annual St. Edna ADVENTures Stations of the Nativity event was a tremendous success thanks to our volunteers! We had volunteers from several St. Edna ministries including religious education, confirmation prep, high school peer ministry team, college ministry team, and others. These wonderful, selfless, and intrepid volunteers braved the chilly weather to donate

their time, talent, and in some cases lend much needed items to help create a beautiful experience for our guests who drove through the stations of the Nativity. We cannot brag enough about our incredible volunteers. THANK YOU! You are the reason St. Edna Rocks!!!
